Can Google Really Connect the World?

Google's main goal is to unite the whole world online by providing internet access to all kinds people from all over the globe. In order to do this, they must think of a bright plan on how to reach inaccessible places such as seas, mountain terrain and technically places where cell sites couldn't reach. Do you know what CIR (Committed Information Rate) is?

In the Converge ICT's FTTX plan, the Committed Information Rate (CIR) is displayed as "Minimum Speed" There are many things our Internet Service Providers won't just tell us. Some of it are just "little jargons" in which we cannot totally understand, though some are very crucial when it comes to the impact to "us", subscribers. In a good way, it'll save us the trouble understanding the technicalities of network and communication. But in a bad way, not knowing these "technicalities" limits our capability to maximize our usage. One of the hidden terms that our ISP failed to disclose in their ads is the CIR "Committed Information Rate."   It is important to know what CIR is especially when it acts as a "guarantee" that the internet connection will be having it's minimum bandwidth that the users can utilize in the plan.  Why is it important to know what is CIR? It's plainly simple, it gives the user ass...

The Slow Internet Industry in the Philippines

Ive tried Different Internet Service Provider in the Philippines. PLDT, Globe, Datelcom, Converge ICT (Comclark), and Bayantel. When I was young, I first obtained my first Smart Bro during its glory days (2007). I have no complaints about speed at that moment since I was never aware about the Data Caps because I was so excited to have an internet connection at home,  all I know is that I'm using a very high speed internet for just 999. But after experiencing 2 years of using the service, I slowly crave for real high speed internet, since SmartBro is the only provider available in Apalit, Pampanga, you'll have no choice but to follow their services. I remember the canopy days. Those where the days when there is no limitations on data caps. It felt so good to have that, even though it's hard to download in 512k internet speed. But atleast I had to experience seamless 512k internet. In 2009, PLDT "Unlimited" myDSL (DSL)came along  and offered their cable ...
