Uses of Light

Have you ever wondered how powerful light is? Light - It's the past, present and future of efficiency. It's power is not limited to lighting our dark knights, or helping us stay warm through the cold nights. The use of  Light use is very limitless as geniuses invent ways to utilize light.

Light was there from the beginning of time. But use of fire as lighting all started in the early 400,000BC when the Homo erectus discovered creating fire by an accident. It was in 17-18th Century when Artificial light was founded. in 1880, Thomas Edison, the inventor of the incandescent lamp was created to fill homes with efficient and and safe source of lighting homes during dark.

But man has always been curious, vowing to do something bigger, and something brighter. That's why the evolution of light so we take a look at the current uses of light and the future it may give us.

Here are some of the few uses of Light

Indoor Lighting - It illuminates dark portions of the room. This enable us to see read a book, or do extra tasks at night with the illumination it brought.
Outdoor Lighting - It gives vision to streets. This enable us to walk safely at night or turn night into day.
Photography - Photography solely depend on light. The images we see in photographs are seen with the help of light that illuminates our images.

Heating - the energy produced by light is used to heating. Thank light for generating the warm heat we feel on winter nights.

Communication - Light is set as the alternative to copper electromagnetic signals. It provides higher transfer rate since light travels faster than radio waves. Regular copper cables are being replaced by Fiber Optics and Internet running in fiber optics receives faster bandwidth since fiber optics technology doesn't require more energy compared with old copper based technology.

Light is also used for coordinating fleets current location of automobile, Aeronatics and Naval boats for signaling its current location.



Inventors are exploring the vast opportunities that the light can provide us. A more reliable, energy efficient and hyperspeed communication will be developed in the future,
